Changing the Narrative by Coaching Teacher Candidates to Find Their Voice

Working with an instructional coach positions teacher candidates in seeking understandings about how to articulate their teaching experience through a collaborative inquiry process. The purpose of this session is to share research regarding the use of instructional coaches in a university teacher preparation program. This research sought to understand how instructional coaches can mediate to nurture an inquiry stance and develop teachers as reflective practitioners.
