Grading Visible Learners: Guided by Effective Feedback

Many entrenched beliefs exist regarding the meaning of grades from parents, teachers, and even students. A specific challenge teachers in individualist cultures face is with some students preferring and more likely using direct/self feedback, particularly related to effort. This session will provide specific and practical actions for schools and individual classroom teachers they can implement to better ensure grading and marking practices that increase the rate and amount of student learning and achievement.
