Greetings and welcome!
The core focus for the Visible Learning community is to enable you to kick off and join in discussions, engage with colleagues, and contribute to our Ideas CoLab with your input on the Community itself.
What are some good methods to teach metacognitive skills to 6th graders and how can you measure it during the year?
Hi
I am visiting Brisbane and Melbourne in August on a Travel Award - the aim is to visit schools and talk to leaders about best practice for Visible learning and implementing whole school change around pedagogy. I would really like some recommendations from this community about the best people and schools to contact.

The meta-analyses present a global perspective on what are and what are not key influences on achievement. The data is based on many millions of students from around the world. For further detail on these please refer to the meta-analyses in Appendix A for the research overview.
The data used about teacher credibility, teacher-student relations, feedback and other factors of influence in John Hattie’s research is a culmination of 800+ meta-analyses where the underlying studies have been converted to a common measure (effect size). The underlying studies (over 50000+) have used a variety of methods which include qualitative methods.
Hello. 2 two teachers and five 9.th-graders from Gentofte Municipality (Denmark) are going to visit Manchester (UK)-area in february 2015. Does anyone know about VL-schools in Manchester area?
Hello all. I have just joined this community and am eager to share with schools around the world our respective Visible Learning school journeys. I am head teacher of Bader Primary School in the UK. We are working with Osiris Educational, looking to implement John Hattie's brilliant learning + principles. I have started a blog and I am hoping that professionals from around the world might pay us a visit and comment http://visiblelearning.mybaderblog.net/
